impermanence and beauty, what kind of relationship does time have with how good something is, its quality, is it better to have a short glimpse at something gorgeous, or better to have that painting, hung behind glass and steel, protected by lasers? is change itself a beautiful thing? with the world painted white and the forecast for the next week planning on turning the world gray, does it make the snow any less enjoyable? knowing that something's supposed to end, that it has a shelf life, a definitive time span, a window of opportunity, what flavor and color and perspective does that add to the beauty and appreciation? a flashbulb, lightning, a dream
