the black sun, snow crash, juanita's advantage, what makes VR really possibly, what allows for true communication in a virtual world, is transmission of facial expressions. what are animoji's? is the true depth camera putting us one step closer to a true working VR experience? Like in snow crash, like in ready player one? What's the missing piece? Tactile and tracking gloves? how to keep the true depth camera on your face while you're moving your head and exploring the world? kinect was the first step, but was thinking too broad, body mapping, but it's the face that's the key. at least that's what the fictional futures tell us.
