Tracy might be a featured extra on Divergent filming in Chicago. If so, would be pretty cool. Screws up work scheduling, and who knows what it'll mean for pickup/dropoff timing, but she might actually be visible in a movie. That'd be cool. Just one of those things to do, if she gets picked. At least I think so. And her coworkers too. Started reading Jennifer Government. And saw that some MillarWorld comics are finally available through Comixology. So got Nemesis (comics), Kick-Ass 2 and Hit-Girl. So that's cool. Had to pick up Lucy early last week because of some giant snowstorm where they closed the school early. So Lucy and I got to play in the snow, which was pretty much gone by the next day. And today they're closing it early again, but this time Tracy's gonna go pick her up. Was going to go to the Donut Vault, since I had to get off at Merchandise Mart with the Wells Street Bridge construction, but didn't realize it was cash only. Maybe tomorrow. Otherwise, it's March. Try to get my bike commuting when I can, but this late winter/early spring snowfalls are making it difficult. My left knee's been feeling a little funky walking/stair climbing. Feels great on the bike. Got a whole list of computer/hard drive upgrades to try and rationalize purchasing. Also tried out Outlook 2013 and SQL Server Management Studio 2012. Both of which look kind of awful on Windows 7, which made me think about getting Windows 8, but to tide me over I just reverted back to a Parallels VM with Outlook 2010 and SQL Server Management Studio 2008 R2. Really wish I could get, or make my own copy, of Management Studio for Mac OS X. Maybe someday.

So first off, Veronica Mars Kickstarter. Announced this morning. $2 million goal. 10 hours later. Met. So impressive. Seriously. Fan funded, well, kickstarted anyway. And there's 30 days left. What if it's fully fan funded at the end of 30 days? How much would it take to full fund the movie anyway? Crazy. Possibly game changing. But we'll see. Looking forward to it anyway. Next up: new pope. Not much to say there. And finally, Google Reader is getting sent to a farm upstate in July. Guess me hopping off that train was prescient. Surprised at how little Fever is getting brought up as a possible self hosted replacement. So besides the news, not much else to report. Don't have a MacBook Pro to play with at work anymore. Having some issues with my Brydge+, so getting it replaced under warranty. Got some more clothes from swrve, so I can actually have a pants rotation to go with my jersey rotation. Might be time to actually wash the bike clothes. Definitely has some maintenance to do on the Pacer. Need to true my rear wheel, but the Revolights makes it difficult. But after the time change I might be able to just remove the revolights. Didn't really need them when it's still light out biking home today at 6:15pm.

Tracy got her official acceptance letter into the Dauntless Born Initiate class. So yes, she's going to be in a movie. It's awesome. Now have to start figuring out logistics for it. 20 days over a 3 month period with sometimes a 1 day notice. But still, she might get some serious screen time. Hopefully. Otherwise, been biking to work. It's been cold. Went looking for SmartWool leg warmers on my way home yesterday, but no joy. Lucy stayed home sick yesterday, but better today. Caught it at Sammi's birthday party over the weekend at Kid City. All the other kids that were there also got sick this week. But that was fun on Saturday. Met some of the parents. Sunday went over to Mike and Amy's to hang with Caden and Connor, and ostensibly for dying Easter eggs, but that only lasted about 5 minutes for Lucy. She just like playing with all of Caden and Connor's toys. Then dinner at Vapiano again, right before some Jewish school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat showed up and made the lines super long.
