My project for computer architecture is done, and now I know way more about cell phones then I ever wanted to know. But all that's left is a couple readings, a final, and that's that for that class. Oh, that class. And then, after that, a mere one final away from being a third done with graduate school. Yippee! Anyway, saw Behind Enemy Lines last saturday, an okay movie. Oh, a big party last friday, but nothing too exciting happened. Yeah, that's about it.

1/3 done with graduate school. Nice feeling. So now that I have a good 4 weeks before school starts again, I've got to find stuff to fill the time I used to spend on classes and homework. I have 8 days to finish Fellowship of the Ring. I'd like to try my hand at some Cocoa programming, and possibly get my gallery up and running here. And of course, watch some movies.

Not @Home, but still, this is nice. Step one in bringing the old Abando Homestead into the 21st century. On my way out to Woodstock today I stopped off at Woodfield, got a Torx T-6 screwdriver, an Airport Base Station and a new fangled portable power adapter. Pretty sweet, except the glowing ring around the plug looks a little freaky in a dark room. I also got some cinnabons. Ummmm, gooey goodness. I also watched Once and Again for the first time in a long time tonight, and the play in this Bedford Falls production wasn't Our Town, but one of the Shakespeare plays, maybe Twelfth Night or something. Interesting. Tomorrow brings a trip to the bank, hopefully a pickup of an iMac airport card adapter, and some good food.

I remember the two months I had off before school started. Good two months, and now I get a little taste of that again, before school starts again. I'm in the middle of rearranging my furniture at my place. For those that remember, it's the end of a quarter and the beginning of another, so it's time. I just have so much crap. Tomorrow is Ocean's 11 at City North, hopefully some food at the Golden Nugget, and finishing up rearranging. By the way, Fellowship of the Rings is turning out to be a pretty good book.

Went and saw Ocean's 11. Good film. Well done. It's good to see so many high profile actors in one film. Definitely very cool. And the bad guys get away. Yeah hollywood. Dinner at the Golden Nugget, all according to plan. Got Virtual PC 5 up and running. Works well. Full screen makes it very usable. Got all my consumer electronics up and running. Just have to clean up the rest of the stuff sitting on my dining room table.

Went and saw Not Another Teen Movie tonight. Bad funny. Just non-stop parodies, spoofs. Dinner at the way too expensive ESPN Zone, and finally saw Pitch Black on DVD. Pretty good movie. Going to finally watch the Godfather tomorrow, first time ever, and hopefully finish up Fellowship of the Rings soon. Not going to see it until the new year though.

Been working, putting iBooks into states ready for students to work with. Or at least to put them back into a state after the students tried working on them. But I haven't been getting enough sleep, and I think I'm coming down with something, a cold probably. I also like jump roping as exercise. Privacy of my own home and all that jazz. I figure the calf workout will be good for beach tournament time. Played a lot of Ace Combat 4 for the PS2. Pretty sweet game. I seem to be on top of my video game skills right now. But it won't last as I keep playing. Also cleaned up some more around here. Had dinner from Ecce Cafe down the street on Broadway. Pretty good sushi. Good to have right around the corner.

An aunt passed away this morning and so I find myself in Toronto, ON, this evening for a couple days. Lots of family has come on for support. So this is a little curveball on the whole existing holiday plans of visiting the brother and sister-in-law for Christmas and spending a little cash in Vegas. But things still might work out. But who would have guessed being in Canada.

Probably the last post before the new year rolls around. Kind of a whirlwind type of week. My Auntie Epay is in a better place, spent Christmas with Al and Nicole and their phat place in the city, kicked it Vegas style for a couple days, and then found myself at home in the city again. Just went to the Brew and View for the first time and saw Zoolander with Shaw, Vinnie, and Farney again. With all that's gone on, I feel renewed, like I've found something I had lost. No plans for the eve, yet.
