Lots of good ultimate practicing was done. It's so much better when there's scrimmaging to be had at the end of practice. Otherwise, helped King move on Friday, watched a couple movies with Russell, went to the Peplinski's for a BBQ after practice on Saturday, fabulous ribs and other foodstuffs, last half of Superman, church and breakfast with the parents on sunday, more practice, and my first trip to Piece. Nice place, very open and simple. Pizza was okay. Nothing that knocked me over. Tomorrow brings a Lake Forest BBQ, which should be fun. Tune Up this weekend in Naperville. But that's about it.

Finally saw Pearl Harbor in the theater tonight. Good movie. I didn't have a problem sitting through it, which makes it a good 3 hour movie. Also watched Girl and Face/Off today. Quality. Made some more copies of wedding videos. Read some more, now on the 5th book of the Death Gate Cycle. Playing poker tomorrow. Practice on thursday.

Made some Creme, sans Brulée since I don't have a blowtorch handy. That was a couple days ago though. Burned my first audio CD, a warm up for ultimate, of pump up songs and various movie quotes. Very exciting. Now on book 6 of the Death Gate Cycle. Hopefully picking up jerseys for the team tomorrow, and seeing at least the Musketeer before the Tune Up captains' meeting.

It is a grave day. My thoughts and prayers go out to those in New York and Washington.

Trying to get back into the swing of things. Last weekend was Tune-Up. Union Crew did pretty much how we were supposed/expected to do. No better, no worse. Got some Krispy Kremes, since I passed by them 6 times this weekend. Didn't get greedy, and only got 1/2 dozens. Then the tragedy on Tuesday, with lots of CNN/ABC watching. I actually had to get my eyes checked out, and got some stuff to use my mp3 server through the television. Still need to get a Keyspan digital remote. Poker last night. Practice tonight.

Watched 100 Girls twice this week. Very funny movie, and true as well, sort of. Went out to the Woodfield Apple store again on friday, got the very cool Keyspan Digital Remote. Now I finally have a useful mp3 server hooked through my stereo/theatre system. Not bad. Still don't have a backpack, which is what I also went looking for at Woodfield. Maybe a nice Eagle Creek? Registration for school is early next week. School starts the following week. So much for summer.

A funny and good documentary about the early days of the popular web. Made me get up and stop watching TV long enough to update this. Went home Monday, hung out with the parents. Got a backpack on tuesday, EMS, very nice. Did all my enrollment stuff for school. That starts on monday. 2 Characters away from unlocking Minion on Twisted Metal Black. Watched Total Recall this morning. Oh, saw Rock Star tuesday night, very funny movie.

Going out today to Naperville to line fields for sectionals this weekend. Hopefully will get a chance to see The Musketeer too. Lots of junk food purchases at the grocery store last night, chips, donuts, ice cream. Ordered some books for class. Hopefully I'll get a little reading done before Monday's first class.

Union Crew ended up where everyone else probably put us, 3rd in the IL/IN section. Surprises for the weekend were Deep Dish defeating Nemesis and Shake defeating Machine. Weird to see and hear about those upsets. Also saw Summer Catch for the second time and The Musketeer for the first time. Why can't they film a kung-fu type movie like Ang Lee? Had some more Krispy Kremes, this time from the one in Summit, IL off Harlem exit on I-55. Tomorrow is the first day of class, Unix Systems Programming. Fun, fun, fun.

Once more, back into the fray. Had my first week of class. Mostly good, except for algorithms. Damn requirements. But nice being a student again, except for the homework. I drive down every day for class, not sure if I'm going to switch over to public transportation. Besides that, finally saw Memento on Wednesday and Zoolander on friday, both good movies, in very different ways. I still haven't gotten my hands on the Mac OSX 10.1 update, which is annoying, hopefully sometime this week. Finished up my first homework assignment of the year, and I also think I'm behind on my reading already. Last week of ultimate, last practice for me today, and regionals next weekend.
