Skateboard. I'm thinking of getting a skateboard again. Just a simple
one, no pretty graphics, no fancy stickers. Something that'd get me
around the city, at least when there isn't snow on the ground, and maybe
I could start learning some tricks. Because that would be cool. But
then again, I'm still injured. But I was watching some kids outside the
MCA today, and their skating, doing some slides on the benches out in
front. Simple stuff, but good stuff. it looked like fun. And I could
just strap one to my bag, just get a couple more straps with clips, and
sew them on. I can just see myself zipping through the city on my
board, in a tie because I decided to dress up that day. But doing some
slides here and there, some kick flips, some ollies, basic street stuff.
But where do you learn this stuff? Videos? Magazines? The best teacher
besides experience is by example, but that's a culture I don't fit in.
But maybe a skateboard will be a new form of transportation in the city. |
