growing up, bigger steps, and movement forward means leaving things behind, and even space in the mind, the memory only holds so much, and so we've got to purge, and then some old familiar stuff starts to look like new again, the street you walk down to work, the bus, the pen on the desk, it's back to being new, and unfamiliar, because you purged it to make space. hopefully this will apply to movies and television and music, and maybe that's how tastes change, not because you like something better, but because you forgot why you liked something before, and not on purpose, but just the memory housecleaning.
