ultimate seedings, series play, and so on. problems: how to rank teams that have never played against each other. how to rank teams that have just formed and don't have a history. solution: implement a definitive seeding rule set. have the ability to define before a tournament whether you want the tourney results to count in series seeding. There's no after the fact claiming of tourney wins if everyone else bails, or injuries decimate opponents. What does this mean? No more using a team name at some fun tournament, no more bringing try out squads under a team name. or there could be a point system, I'm thinking of something like NASCAR, if I knew what they used, so you'd gather points throughout the season which would determine standings at the end of the season. but all this assumes some professionality in ultimate teams. something that probably doesn't really yet exist, at least on the mixed level. across the board anyway. i mean, what's the average turnover ratio for teams? how long does a player stay with a team? how much player movement goes on? why isn't there an ultimate player wiki? or at least a directory? oh, wait, there is, the official roster list from the UPA. I wonder what it would take to get access to that? I wonder what the keep it in?
