shifting, back channels, and i wonder about google and youtube, that google is way smarter than the average, well, just about anyone from anywhere except los alamos, and google has to know something that we don't. something that youtube has. something that youtube is. some dramatic shift in copyright. for that matter, why didn't apple totally get in on the youtube thing? iLife is all about content creation, yet, there's no super easy way to get things to you tube. and why did the flash movie thing work when quicktime failed? because everyone had flash anyway for ads? for those stupid goofy too fancy looking interfaces on web sites? all bang and no substance? I have a strange feeling that the whole content, ownership, copyright, copy left, paste and cut, all that stuff is coming to a head, rather rapidly. faster now. and google knows something about it. and they aren't telling. not sure what, but if you remove RIAA, remove standards, remove classification, what then? remove labels, remove distributers. remove manufactured popularity. giving rise to true democratic popularity. big corps can't muscle fads. and you saw it with Dane Cook. Grass roots. true democratic popularity. the next step is removal of the ad industry. well, more like removal of ad sponsored creative industry. removal of big dollars to fund, more grass roots, more lower key, except that prosumer level is increasing. now i might start sounding like a socialist, except it's more libertarian. power to the people. interesting. interesting.
