the imac all over again, the macbookpro, the retiring of old technologies, and the embracing of the new. good-bye floppy and adb and apple video connectors and hello to usb and vga. good-bye to PC Card slots and modems and hellow to ExpressCards and, well, other stuff. But be thankful for te retiring of old technology. be thankful that apple cuts its losses and runs. be thankful that apple does what apple wants, rather than listening to what the people gripe about. because they can do stuff that others can't. because the others listen to the whiners and the gripers and the complainers and those resistant to change. and this change is the hardest part. change is great, difference, variety spicing life. change, development, fixing, adding, altering. but it's the terms that get me. change when something isn't broken. to me. when it seems good, when nothing seems bad. change when I don't see it coming, and after i see it go, i still don't understand it. unknown reasons for change, not understandable reasons for change, that i don't understand. that i rail against, quietly, in the night. but improvements to technology by removing years old stuff? yes, I'm all for it. embracing it even.
