Tried setting up my old Mac mini (Mid 2007) as a new TEAHouse Web Server but sounds like it's finally given up the ghost. Instead, I'll try setting up Debian on the Mac mini (Mid 2010) instead. These Apple TV (1st Generation)s don't seem to hold up too well, running only 256 MB of RAM and all. I just need to drop the old hardware finally. While digging through for an old Gefen DVI Detective used to run the Tiger only Mac mini headless, I found my old component HD switcher. Which I should also just toss. And some old coaxial I should just get rid of too. Cut and run. But figured out how to put Dropbox on Debian, which is super easy. So hopefully can get real backups running for websites. And then possibly make it really easy to move to the cloud, if needed. Which is also super tempting. But expensive. And will all that time on my hands. Need to bring the Pacer in for service. My rear derailluer cable broke this morning, in the hood. Should have figured something was going on, as I thought it was just normal cable stretching, and my shifting was erratic and off index. And I've still got something up with my front tire because I ran over a pothole a while back. Finally saw Zero Dark Thirty. Amazing. Couldn't stay awake for The Host when Tracy watched it the other night. Started usinig Plex on TEAHouse and the Roku 3. This way I can use the headphones from the remote and watch my movies late at night without worrying and keeping my thumb on the volume buttons. Quite nice.
