things of the future happening today, flash mobs, apparently random groups of people getting information from some organizing body, or maybe not, gathering, performing some pointless action, then dispersing, the thought of a group, an evil sinister organization, a performance artist? or is it truly like a primordial soup, the random interconnectedness of web, email, txt messaging, a suggestion is made, feelers go out, and suddenly it happens, and is gone before it's known, and again, some impulse, transfers across the network, and action is taken. it's almost like nerve endings, like checking reflexes, a quick prod and knee jerk, could anyone tap into this network? how quickly do flash mobs get organized, what kind of foreknowledge is required, how much time from thought to completion is necessary? but it's pretty damn cool.
