speedbump, school parking lots, residential neighborhoods, parking lots of shopping malls and department stores, slow down, you move too fast, stop and smell the roses, or at least slow down, reduce your speed, don't let the ebb and flow, which describes slow traffic, but more applicable in this case to faster moving water, to the pace of life set forth and followed, understood, self driven, the foot on the pedal, but certain tendencies hold sway, trends are hard to argue with, the facts present themselves, and a speedbump is merely a hiccup on the highways and byways of life, rest stops, long forgotten trails and trials, just pauses, sighs, catches of breath on a windy cold day, and in just a second the speedbump is behind, and maybe this time you noticed something when you slowed down, maybe something perked your interest just long enough, just long enough to get out of the car, if just for a little, to window shop, to peer at a shiny bauble, before getting back in the car, and driving away.
