so why do painters wear white? even when they're using paints
of colors other than white? is it a fear of mixing whatever it
is they're wearing with the paint they try to put up on the wall?
or something as logical as not contaminating the color they're
putting up on the wall with the reflection of color off their own
clothes? maybe it's just some part of the secret brotherhood of
painters? but i see it, and ask, and fondly remember painter's
pants being all the rage way back in grade school. i remember
having a pair, and playing soccer, which my mom killed me for,
because i was slide tackled by philip pit no cooper jr. which
gave me a nice big fat grass stain on my left knee. had it there
from recess onward, and i don't think i ever wore painter's pants
again. i also remember parachute pants, i had a grey pair freshmen
year, or was it eighth grade, when everyone else wore jeans, which
i hated because they were too tight, i wanted something looser.
but even i succumbed, as i wear jeans now. |
