I got rid of the cable premium stations today. No more HBO 1, 2, family and signature, goodbye to Cinemax, and MoreMax, so long to Encore and Starz, and showtime, you were all good to me, you reminded me of movies i had forgotten about, introduced me to others. But you also waited for me, watched me as i wasted my time, staring at you, watching, listening, hearing. But no more. I move more towards movies on demand, as the film library grows. I move away from being the slave to the remote. I put it down. Maybe someday, when I have more self control, more willpower, I'll return to the premium channels and use them wisely. Maybe someday.
