I watched Day of the Jackal yesterday on DVD. It was a really good book to film transition. Although some of the cooler things don't seem so cool in the movie, and you don't quite get a feeling of just exactly how smart the Jackal really is, it still tells the tale pretty well. And the Jackal really is a pretty good everyman. But it's a good movie, and a good book. Both favorites of mine. Nothing like seeing what it takes to be a really good contract killer. Intelligence comes in many forms, many forms.
