Just saw American Beauty. I've often explored the relationship of art
and life, which imitates which, should entertainment be what is reality
or what reality should be or what we want reality to be. This movie
may be all three. For some a very real picture of life. Suburbia.
20 years of life passes you by, without knowing it. Normalcy, ordinary
world. That is what people live. And then there's the change. Not
so ordinary. Really. Unless there's so many people out there doing
the same thing. But there aren't. So that makes one special. Really.
Within and outside of the same world, at the same time. That is beauty
in and of itself. And the most beautiful thing filmed, and the woman
who laughed at this scene in the theater can, well, do something else,
is really beautiful. Really, truely, beautiful. It's a good movie.
Well done. Made me feel, well, made me feel. Pictures of myself I guess. |
