Consultants. They fix problems. They come in and make things all better.
They come into industries, into companies, into multinational corporations
to make things work when they aren't working. problem solvers. But aren't
they just putting a little ointment on the itch, instead of giving the
patient antibiotics, or better yet, changing the lifestyle of the
patient? These people are drivers. They are innovators. If you took a
consultant, gave them a business or industry they liked or wanted, they
could run with it, make it work given all sorts of obstacles, and never
have to get a consultant. Because they would kind of have a consultant
in house. Theses people are drivers. But yet consulting companies
thrive. Because companies and industries have problems. Maybe because
they don't have the drivers they need, because they work at consulting
companies. Do you see a circle? Is the lack of drivers in industry
a natural progression of economic evolution? Or is it evidence of something
else entirely? |
