Ultimate Frisbee. Predictions for the coming season. Reading on rec.sport.disc, hearing the names that I grew up in the sport with, yeah, I consider 4 years growing up in it. So DoG is still a favorite, and there's no sign it's breaking up. A dynasty, soon to be 6 years running? And the SB Condors? Favorites for 2nd. Other teams to watch out for, Blaze of Glory, I guess a combo team from Seattle and Portland. Sockeye, possibly back up to speed, I for some reason associate the return of Sockeye with college Stanford. Kind of that team you always know is going to make it to the big dance, but won't do so well. But their isn't much news about my favorite team of the moment, Sub-Zero out of Minneapolis. A personal connection there, teammates of my brother from Carleton play on the team. I'd like to see them do well. Other teams to watch, Houston Houndz, Furious George (angry monkeys), Ring of Fire, Anondyne. Would be good to go out to San Diego to catch Nationals. Maybe I'll take a vacation every year, Club and College Nationals. Could be a nice tradition, at least until I get to go cause I'm playing there.
