looking forward to doing laundry whenever we want, to grilling outside, to sitting outside, reading, watching tv, browsing the interweb, under the sun, or the clouds, feet up on deck furniture, waiting for steaks to finish, reaching over and grabbing some fresh herbs, a greenhouse? miniature for herbs, fresh veggies, need to find a floorplan, a chance to lay things out, to get exactly what we want, no hand me downs, no compromises, a clean start, a chance to be a grown up, with real budgets, financial holdings, and risks, and responsibilities, but ours, to wake up, and learn new places to go, to walk, the bathroom, the closet, where things go, where things are found. it's awesome. and exciting. cooking, and talking and seeing people in the dining room and the living room, chatting with people at the breakfast bar, having a real wine/beverage fridge, two of them even. Having dinner parties, real dinner parties. having a griddle in the kitchen. That's awesome. i can't wait. I can't wait.
