this time it's really over, no more coming back, no more offers, counters, and squeezing blood from rocks, no more back and forth, and it's finally put to bed, a chapter is over, the book is written, no more venturing, even erasing from the books, removing from the memory, even deleting photos from the hard drives, no need to remember the one that got away, the one you never really had a chance of getting in the first place. maybe we need to rethink, to reevaluate, to try again, to see what we really want, what we really need, what we can really afford, or we could pick apart the one we didn't get, and move on from there. either way, lots of people were wrong, and I wonder how many times we'll go through it before they understand that it's different, and not quite what you read in the newspaper, or see on TV.
