order. laws. society. civilization. a box. not quite black and white, but grey, gray, a little bit of both and more. what does a flashing don't walk sign mean? to some, to others, and some semblence of order. but pushing those limits. but why those limits? pick other limits? but that's not the issue, but rather, the box, the laws, the lines, the order. always and forever a limitation, thinking inside the box, drawing inside the lines. things turn out nice and neat and tidy and ordered and simple and organized, with seeming purpose and direction. take that away and you have chaos, disarray, disorder, willy nilly, go where you may and take what lands, but at the same time you have limits and potential, experiments and pushing the envelope, entrepreneurship, the spirit, the will to differentiate, to seek out bold new worlds, to find new things. safe and secure. content. risky and unsafe, prone to failure, and living. but pick your battles. pick your spots. is a crosswalk where you want to push the envelope? against a 1.5 ton hurtling mess of steel and rubber? or push the envelope at work, in your relationships, in the places where the laws are there for safety and civilized living, not limitations on personal ability.
