inevitability. the sound of it. the vision of it. fate? come fate into the list. destiny? knowing what's coming, preparing for it, fighting it, whether or not you have any control whatsoever, no matter what you do, no matter what you say, it's gonna happen. resigned. given up. fighting for a lost cause. it's sad, and depressing. is it any different if such things destined to be are good things, happy things, joyous occasions in the future? if you were guaranteed a lifetime of good tidings, of sweet nothings, of happiness and cheer, how would that affect your day to day life? what happens after you realize you've won the lotto? that moment of know that you'd never have to work a day in your life if you didn't want to. that sense of freedom, from oppression, from responsibility. because i feel responsible for my happiness. because it's up to me.
