driving back, up the lake shore, windows open, windows, wind, ows, ows for the wind, blowing through my hair, tunes cranked, singing away, looking up the line, not the beautiful defined lit up chicago skyline from the south, nope, can't be that easy, the fogged had rolled in, not quite as bad as this morning, you could at least see buildings this time, you could see up maybe 20-30 stories on the sears tower, but the tops, obscured, no idea how far they go up, oh, i could guess, i could rely on my memory, but that isn't really seeing the buildings' tops just a half hour ago? i have no idea what was on that diagonal roofed building, what message was up in lights? what color were the lights on top of the hancock? i have no idea. i really have no idea. at least not tonight.
