superheros, it's not like i wrote an essay, or based my senior thesis on comic books, so i'm only going on what my little mind can wrap itself around, but personally, i'm seeing a resurgence in the superhero, the more than human, the hero. i question the last time, the great grand days when comic's first bowed their grand stories on the stage of newspaper depots on the corner, post war glory, winners, who turned back the tide, the creation of the baby boomers, the bliss, the excitement, the expansion of what i'm guessing was the 50's. when there was nowhere else but to look up, and someone's got to be above, to watch over, protecting, a glimmer of what could be. like what we have now, still isn't good enough, to reach some more, to stretch some more. and i think we're doing it again now. the dot com bubble has burst, but it hasn't died yet, there's lots of money, lots of work, and we're still looking up. and the media, the movies, pulls out of its back pocket, superheros, heros, more than just ordinary people, extraordinary people, special people. interesting.
