it just hits, really hard, and you've tried to escape it, dodge the bullet, get out of harm's way, but it's just there, you can't get away, you can't escape, and it hits, and it's there, laid bare, i imagine other movies, in a similar vein, the ones that are supposed to hit, everyone says they do, no particular person, no particular type, no class, no race, nothing unique or individual, but across all humanity, it just hits, it touches raw nerves, it touches emotions, it tugs on heart strings, it's just good. saving private ryan.
