Computer naming schemes. There was a story on slasdot awhile ago about naming schemes for computers. I've decided to come up with a new one myself. The idea for my current scheme is ultimate, i currently do most of my work on handler, and i've got a middle around. but after you run out of positions, I don't want to deal with offenses and stuff. So I'm looking for something different. I'm thinking elements. I want something that can parlay speed, size, and purpose all in the name. Like carbon, size 12, would be a midrange computer, but very useful, it does everything, life is based on it. Same thing with oxygen. Any of the noble gases could be servers, stable. Neon for a small one, Xeon four something bigger. My palm pilot could be helium, or Lithium, hydrogen. But otherwise, I don't know what I can use as a naming scheme. Until I come up with something definite, I'll stick with what I got.
