perspective, the same thing viewed from different angles, from different spaces, and also from different times, what to me could be how i never what to be, could be to someone else what i'm becoming or who i am, strikes closer to home, or less closer, farther away because, well, it is, but with time as fleeting and fickle as it may be, fickle, that's a funny word, fickle, i'll remember the girl fickle describes, and wear a smile on my face, but understand perspectives, reachable only through the passage of time, to places familiar and understood, but never to be reached, and still hoping and wishing and praying that she was right, that the words she spoke were true, and someday i suppose, and the circle closes, the mouth biting down on the tail, the snake swallowing the snake, and the begining becomes the end and the begining, and tomorrow starts another day, another ride on the el, as the weather gets colder, and people start bundling up, and the students riding down to class in the morning, doing their homework before they get a chance to wake up really, but that's all, and before you know it, it's over
