True love, romance, soul mates. Do these things still exist? Does anyone you know, friends from high school, friends from college, anyone you know share something special? The stuff you see on television, the love at first sight, the marriage, the kids, the grandkids? Are any of your parents like that? Are any of your friends' parents like that? Grandparents even? Does such a thing only exist in books, movies and television? I'm not talking about the picture perfect life, I'm not talking about the 2.5 kids, the white picket fence, the house, the dog, the mortgage, not the American Dream, but the romantic dream? Does it actually exist, are there people out their who actually wake up next to their soulmates? And know that they are, and cherish them? I wonder if it is true. I see it on television shows all the time. I see it in movies. I read about it in books. But does it really happen? Soul mates. Even soul mates have problems in relationships. But I'd like to think soul mates work things out. Stay together. Or at least know that they'll end up together. Or something. So is it true? I don't know. I really don't know. I don't have it now. Don't actually know anyone who has it. Really, I don't. Sad. Maybe. Real? Yes. Sad? Yes.
