nuclear magnetic resonance imaging. place all the electrons spinning one way. when they fall back to the spin they're supposed to have, they emit energy. this energy is read by the system, and depending on which electrons from particular elements or molecules drop down, that energy varies. and so you can get 3-dimensional images of varying composition items. pretty cool. i almost thought i could feel something on the molecular level. just thought i could feel.
