edgy, forefront, ice breakers, nuclear powered or not, sometimes they're made from the start to be that strong, to be powerful, to break many feet of ice, for other ships to sail on through, othertimes, just regular ships with a little more padding on the bow, a little reinforcement, but nothing planned at least from the start, more like falling into the job, and then there's the ships that just end up doing it, the boats, the container ships, the tugboats, who never really wanted to be there, but are, forging ahead, so others may have an easier time, the ships break, more often than not, the stress of breaking through ice sometimes stronger than steel, too much for hulls, too much for ships to remain seaworthy, and end up submarines, which again they are not, and then there's those that aren't even ships, that break ice in ways not even known to sailors, and they are truly great
