strangest things happen to people, to things, that happen to other people, and making things easier, is one of the things that we do, are computers our equals? should we treat them as such? not now, but someday? do we want to treat them as equals, do we want them to know as much as we do, adapt like we do, use tools like we do? i think of the terminator movie series, what happens when computers eventually gain sentience, when they start acting like we humans do, what then? i say treat them as the tools that they are, and nothing more, i don't want a smarter hammer, it has a job which is does well, if i need to do something else, i don't use a hammer, i use a screwdriver, or a crowbar, or a drill, whatever tool is needed for the job, i don't ask it do to things it doesn't.
