taking down the overdog, the confirmed and suspected cheaters, bad sportsman, the bully. cheering when they get taken down, no one likes the team on top, the one who always wins, why is that? what is it about establishing a legacy of winning, of a culture of winning, of beating others? the resultant superiority, how things look from the bottom, how you always try and level the playing field, that no one likes to stand out, well, we all like to stand out, but we don't like those that stand out, the nail that sticks out gets hammered, the squeaky wheel, but that doesn't apply, but the super rich, the very powerful, the most popular, the celebrities, the in crowd, maybe it's not so much the success, but the unwillingness, seeming unwillingness, not to pull others up, that by success others must fail. |
