families, cliques, group think, social themes, and it applies all towards biking, as well as everything else in the world. competitive vs fun, winning vs. involvement, issues in ultimate I used to face, and now with commuting by bike, it's about road rules, proper cycling technique. as i write, it seems more to be about following laws, rules, and regulation, being a good and proper member of the society and civilization within which you live, and beyond that, the subjugation of self to society, as in someone knows better than I. instead of i can do whatever I want because i can because i think it doesn't hurt anyone. so where do i go? which one do i decided to be? a little of both? stopping at red lights, but not at stop signs, but i'll try and just be a vehicle, and follow the rules. nothing wrong with that.
