Back after a long weekend away in the very bad state. Anyway, Union Crew went 1-3 to a 5-8th place showing at Mason Dixon. Highlights not related to ultimate include continued Olive Garden Fun, Holidome fun, Top scorer in a downhill mountain bike video game in Raz, a luke warm hot tub, and a 3:11am fire alarm. What follows this week is ultimate, and more ultimate, with summer league, practice, summer league, practice, and beach tournament this weekend, up at montrose beach. So more details on Mason Dixon: We flew in late on Friday night, made it to the Holiday Inn with 10 minutes to spare in the luke warm hot tub in the Holidome. Saturday morning, after I didn't get enough sleep due to Bigger and Blacker being on HBO the night before, saw us take a drubbing by Madison, mainly cause we weren't playing at all. Then came a burner with Burn where a 6 point swing the wrong way in the second half gave us our second loss of the day. Our third and final game we squared up against the Prairie Squids, some team from Memphis, when we finally decided to play again late in the second half and pulled out our win for the day, and moved up a seed in our pool. That night saw dinner at Olive Garden, nap time, Top Gun on NBC, Holidome Fun with Ping Pong and Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, and a fire alarm which went off at 3:11 am. Sunday brought a single point played against some team for a play in game to figure out if we stayed in the championship or moved down to the chumpionship. Then rain and lightning struck, postponing games for a good 2 hours or more. Then after cancelling the play in games, we moved on to face Big Ass Truck in the quarters. We started off playing in some rain, and then proceeded to throw this game away as well, thus ending our day. Whitney found us some pickup players for a pickup game, which I opted out of, and instead watched Deep Dish on their way to a tournament win, BAT bring it back against Burn in one of the semis. And then I went and saw Scary Movie 2, without having seen the first one, and then got on a plane and made my way home. Quite a weekend.
